Bangladesh Public Procurement Authority (BPPA) has been continuing an awareness programme on its functions and electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) under the Digitizing Implementation Monitoring and Public Procurement Project (DIMAPPP).

It has taken such awareness activities up to upazila (sub-district) level. Along with that e-GP awareness workshops are also being held at the district level.

Bangladesh Center for Communication Programs (BCCP), engaged in communication activities as a consultant of BPPA, has been managing the conduct of such workshops.

As part of that, on 9 June 2024, an awareness workshop on BPPA functions and e-GP was held at Bishwambarpur Upazilla in Sunamganj district.

Director (Joint Secretary) of BPPA, Mr Md Aknur Rahman PhD was present in the workshop as the chief guest. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mr. Mofizur Rahman presided over it while Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ms. Shilpi Rani Modok was present as the special guest. Moderated by Assistant Director of BCCP Mr. Abdus Salam, Deputy Director of BCCP Mr. Badal K Halder, also spoke at the programme.

Local procuring entities, tenderers, media, NGO and teachers’ representatives attended the workshop.

On 10 June 2024, a similar workshop was held at the DC Office Conference Room in Sunamganj district.
