Title : Workshop on BPPA, e-GP in Tangail

To build a "Smart Bangladesh," the government is working to establish a sustainable public procurement (SPP) system through a fully digitized platform.

As part of this initiative, Bangladesh Public Procurement Authority (BPPA) has been established to ensure full implementation of electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) and to effectively oversee the overall procurement management in the country.

These remarks were made by Mr. Md Akhnur Rahman PhD, Director (Joint Secretary) of BPPA, during a workshop on BPPA activities and e-GP held in Tangail. The workshop took place on May 9, 2024, at the Tangail Circuit House conference room and was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner of Tangail, Mr. Kaisarul Islam.

Ms. Afroza Parvin, Deputy Director of BPPA, attended the workshop as the Special guest. The event conducted by BPPA, formerly CPTU, was managed by BCCP. Meher Afroze, Deputy Director and Abdus Salam, Assistant Director of BCCP, were also present. The workshop saw the participation of representatives from various government procuring entities in Tangail as well as local journalists and tenderers.
