The 17^th meeting of the Public-Private Stakeholders’ Committee (PPSC) on public procurement was held at the NEC Conference Room on the Bangladesh Planning Commission campus on 25 June 2023.

Secretary, IMED, Mr. Abul Kashem Md. Mohiuddin presided over the meeting. Director General of CPTU Mr. Mohammed Shoheler Rahman Chowdhury made a presentation on public procurement implementation of reforms. Director of CPTU Mr Masud Akhter Khan moderated it.

The PPSC is a platform comprising representatives from the public and private sectors to recommend and provide guidance for improvement in the practices of public procurement.

The 36-member PPSC conducted five meetings under the ongoing DIMAPP Project of CPTU and 12 meetings under the previously implemented PPRP-II.

The Secretary of IMED made welcome and concluding remarks. Representatives from government offices, tendering community, business chambers, media and civil society attended the meeting.

The participants raised various issues on public procurement and reforms. The DG of CPTU clarified and gave answer to questions.
