The country has now a total of 73 national public procurement trainers.

on 6 April 2023, fourteen newly selected national procurement trainers were added to the list of national trainers’ pool of the Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) through a certificate awarding ceremony held at the CPTU conference room.

Earlier, the number of national procurement trainers was 59. They were selected in three phases since 2003.

The CPTU is a unit of Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) under the Ministry of Planning.

On 6 April 2023, Secretary, IMED, Mr. Abul Kashem Md. Mohiuddin graced the certificate awarding programme as the chief guest while Director General of CPTU Mr. Mohammed Shoheler Rahman Chowdhury presided over it. Director of CPTU Mr. Masud Akhter Khan moderated the programme.

The Secretary gave away certificates to the new national public procurement trainers.
