A training session on fire fighting and a mock drilling were held at CPTU on 7 June 2021. The training was held at CPTU Conference Room and the drilling took place in front of the CPTU Bhaban on the campus.

Secretary, IMED, Mr. Pradip Ranjan Chakraborty, was present in the training session as the chief guest. Mohammed Shoheler Rahman Chowdhury, Director General of CPTU, chaired it.

The Secretary stressed the need for raising mass awareness on fire fighting in the country. The DG CPTU said, “We need to learn fire-fighting for our own safety.”

The training and drilling was conducted by three officers of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Directorate. Officials and consultants of CPTU attended the training and the drilling on fire fighting.

Prior preparation to check fire incidents, do’s and don’ts during fire accidents and arrangements of quick treatment for fire victims were explained by the trainers. They also displayed the use of fire extinguishers when fire breaks out in any building.
