On 6 May 2021, the Password Day was observed across the globe. The day is being observed on first Thursday of May every year to encourage internet users to use effective and secure password for their online accounts.
The e-GP system is an important digital service of the Government of Bangladesh. Its users have been availing themselves of the service uninterrupted since 2011. There is no alternative to using strong passwords to ensuring security of e-GP data and accounts of the users. On the occasion of the Password Day, a number of easy ways are mentioned below for e-GP users to create strong and secure password:
A. Create strong and secure password (minimum 8-digit) with a combination of capital and small letters (A-Z, a-z), numbers (0-9) and symbols (!,#,$,% etc.)
For Example: noMaskn0serv!c3
- Change password at least once in every three months on a regular basis.
- Do not use same password for more than one online system.
- Never disclose password of email registered with e-GP system to others.
CPTU requests all concerned to keep e-GP account secure through the use of strong and safe password and contribute to making a digital Bangladesh through appropriate use of the e-GP system.
