Description | : | A contract between the Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) and the PricewaterhouseCoopers Pvt. Ltd. (PwC) was signed at CPTU Conference Room on 7 March 2021. The title of the contract is “Independent Third Party IT Audit for Bangladesh electronic government procurement (e-GP) System.” Director General of CPTU and Additional Secretary Mr. Mohammed Shoheler Rahman Chowdhury and Mr. Mamun Rashid, Managing Partner, PwC, Bangladesh and Relationship Partner, signed the contract on behalf of their respective sides. The contract duration is eight months. The third party IT audit is to determine if risk management, control, and governance process regarding the e-GP system reasonably assures that: (i) security and confidentiality of procurement transaction data is appropriate, (ii) quality and integrity of the system are accurate and complete upon assessment of all key elements; transactions, applications, data center functions with devices and communications networks and (iii) people, process and technology are cyber-resilient. The CPTU started implementing digitizing of public procurement in 2012 after successful piloting in 2011.
