Bidding will be conducted through Competitive Bidding (CB), Single-stage, Two -Envelope Bidding procedure specified in the Guideline for Procurement under EDCF Loans, and is open to all eligible bidders who has the nationality of Republic of Korea that meet the following minimum qualification criteria.
Within the last ten (10) years from the Bid submission deadline, the Bidder should have experiences in at least as below;
a. one (1) contract of Surface Water Treatment Plant (WT) having Capacity no less than 48,000 cubic meters per day
b. one (1) project of Pipe Line work having constructed with HDPE, PE or PVC Pipe and no less than 20(Twenty) kilometers in accumulative length. Its diameter should have been from no less than nominal diameter 63mm.
c. one(1) project of Pipe Line work having constructed with the diameter 600 mm or larger Ductile Cast Iron Pipe or Steel Pipe and no less than 20 (Twenty) kilometers in accumulative length.
d. One (1) project of Trenchless construction method such as Semi-Shield Work, Pipe Jacking, etc. having constructed the Underground Tunneling with the diameter 600 mm or larger semi-shield TBM and no less than 100 (one hundred) meters in accumulative length.
e. One (1) contracts within the last Ten (10) years, each with a value of at least US$ Forty Million (US$ 40,000,000) that have been successfully or are substantially completed and that are similar to the proposed works. The similarity shall be based on the physical size, complexity, methods, technology or other characteristics |

1. The Chittagong Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (CWASA), the Project Executing Agency now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction Works as below.
The works to be undertaken will include, but are not limited to:
- Bhandal Jhuri Intake Facility of capacity 66,000 m3/day
- Bhandal Jhuri Water Treatment Plant of capacity 60,000 m3/day
- Administration Building in WTP
- Transmission DI pipe line of approx. 51.5 km from treatment plant to Anowara area and Patiya area.
- Distribution Pipe line of approx. 81.8 km in Boalkhali area, Patiya Area,
- Patiya Pump Station of capacity 12,000 m3/day
- Patiya Elevated Tank of capacity 3,000 m3
- KEPZ Pump Station of capacity 38,000 m3/day
- KEPZ Reservoir of capacity 10,000 m3
- River (Semi-Shield) Crossing of length approx.438m (2nos)
- RHD & Railway (Pipe Jacking) Crossing of approx. 9 nos.
- Shoring works of length approx. 45.4 km
The Works shall be completed within Thirty Six (36) Months from the date of commencement. |
