Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
Key Objectives:
1. To assess the preparedness of Bangladeshs health workforce to manage pandemic diseases effectively, by identifying current strengths, critical gaps, and opportunities for strengthening policies, training, logistics, communication, and coordination
2. To draw the current scenario of the workforce in Bangladesh and their preparedness of the health systems to manage pandemic effectively.
3. To explore the experiences of the health workforce and capability of health system in tackling diseases during the COVID-19 pandemic
4. To assess the readiness of the health workforce in terms of skills, logistics, and communication to tackle pandemic diseases
5. To determine health facility preparedness for pandemic diseases across different levels of the health system
Overall objective of the assignment is to collect and generate clean data set, produce draft report, final report and manuscript for publication in an internationally reputed journal. |
Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |
: |
1. The research organization/firm must have at least 07 years of experience in conducting health or public health related research and survey.
2. Research organization/firm (s) is/are requested to send a write-up in consistence with the topic mentioned above, providing
(a)Trade license, (b) Research experience of the Firm (years) (c)Research experience (years) of chief researcher/ executive of the firm (d) Educational qualification of the chief researcher/executive (e) Number of research associates (f)Resume of the research associates along with the letter of consent to conduct this research (g) Number of publications of the organization/firm (research article, books, article) (h) Capacity of the organization/ firm (i.e infrastructure, personnel, logistics, transports) (i) TIN certificate, (j) Synopsis of research proposal (k) Working experience ( similar and others) in research.
Attested copies of the documents must be submitted with the application for EOI.
3. The research work and all other activities will be completed in FY 2025-26.
4. Health-related publications of the chief researcher/executive of the research organization/firm in Q2-ranked journals will be given priority.
5. All interested research organization/firm (s) must be complied with PPA-2006 and PPR-2008.
6. Incomplete/partial EOIs will be rejected
7. Each EOI proposal should not exceed 100 pages
8. Authority may visit concern offices (if necessary)
9. Only short-listed participants would be invited to attend the next process and ToR will be provided to the short-listed participants.
