Academic Qualifications:
1. Essential:
• Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Natural Resource Management, Agriculture, Forestry, Development Studies, Education, or other relevant disciplines.
2. Desirable:
• Additional certifications or training in curriculum development, adult learning methodologies, or instructional design.
• Specialized coursework or research in climate change adaptation (CCA), ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA), or climate-resilient development.
B. Professional Experience
Overall Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in climate change adaptation, environmental management, training facilitation, or curriculum/manual development.
• Proven experience in developing training manuals, toolkits, or curricula for diverse audiences (government officials/educators/youth/students/community-based organizations).
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and facilitating multi-stakeholder capacity-building programmes, including rural and urban contexts.
• Practical experience preferably with Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA), Community-based Adaptation (CbA), Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA), watershed management, or participatory land-use planning and related field.
• Experience working with Government of Bangladesh (GoB) agencies/NGOs/INGOs, particularly in Local Adaptation Plans of Action (LAPAs) or relevant processes.
• Ability to integrate gender equality, youth engagement, indigenous perspectives, and disability inclusion into training content and delivery.
• Strong skills in knowledge product development (case studies, best practice compendiums, policy briefs) are desired.
• Excellent proficiency in Bangla and English (both written and spoken).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented approach.
• Cultural, religious and political sensitivity, with proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders including government, academia, civil society, and marginalized communities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under tight schedules.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and trust among stakeholders.
