INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |

1. The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of the “Livestock and Dairy Development Project (LDDP)” and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards the payment for consultancy services for Engineering Expert (National Individual) under LDDP, Package No.: LDDP/S-22B.
2. The main objective of this individual consultancy services is to provide technical support to the Project Authority in design, supervision, quality control and monitoring of different civil works construction, repair, renovation and maintenance to be implemented under the project. 3. The qualification and experience requirement of the Engineering Expert are described as below:
a. Qualification requirement: Minimum BSC in Civil Engineering from any public university/ institutions. Trainings on structural designs, quality control, construction supervision and management will have preference.
b. Experience requirement:
• At least fifteen (15) years of experience in civil engineering, design, supervision, quality control, contract management.
• Experience in civil engineering works related to livestock and public sector will have preference.
• Experience in donor funded projects in similar capacity will be preferred.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge on National Building Code and procurement of civil works.
• Ability to work as individual or in a team, ability to interact with a large spectrum of different stakeholders.
• Good communication skill, computer literacy in related software.

4. The duration of the assignment is 18 (Eighteen) months. However, the duration (Contract) may be increased or reduced based on the performance of the Consultant or the requirement of the Project.
5. The selection will be done following the method of Individual Consultant Selection procedure in accordance with the World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, Procurement in Investment Project Financing Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, July 2016 and Revised November 2017.
6. LDDP now invites Expression of Interest from the eligible Applicants to indicate their interest to provide the services. Applicants will submit detailed CV mentioning their qualifications and experiences to indicate that they are qualified to perform the services.
7. Expression of Interest shall be submitted one (1) hard copy and one (1) soft copy (MS Word format in CD or DVD or Flash Drive) by June 05, 2022, up to 03.00 p.m. in a sealed envelope to the address- Project Director, Livestock and Dairy Development Project, Pranisampad Bhaban-2, 6th Floor (Room # 703), Department of Livestock Services, Krishi Khamar Sarak, Farmgate, Dhaka-1215. The sealed envelope shall be clearly marked that “Application for Engineer Expert (National Individual), Package No.: LDDP/S-22A”.
8. The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all EOIs.
