INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

Pilot Project on Tuna and Similar Pelagic Fishing in Deep Sea and intends to apply a part of the proceeds of these funds to payments under the contract for the provision of consultancy services |

Academic Qualification
• Bachelor in Marine Engineering/Mechanical Engineering from any recognized University/Institution.
• In case of unavailability of candidates with abovementioned qualifications, Diploma in Marine Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering from recognized Institution.
Experience
• Certificate of competency (Class-02) Fishing Vessel Engineer, or Equivalent Certificate of Competency from DG Shipping or any recognized Authority.
• Ten (10) Years of experiences (at least 5 years as 2nd Engineer) in deep sea going Fishing Vessels.
• In case of candidates having diploma, 15 years of experiences (at least 7 years as 2nd Engineer) in fishing vessel.
• Working in commercial fishing vessel/research vessel will be considered. |

The Department of Fisheries represented by Project Director of Pilot Project on Tuna and Similar Pelagic Fishing in Deep Sea invites eligible applicants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Applicants are invited to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the said consultancy services. The ToR and scope of services along with Application Forms of the consultants will be available in the “Notice” of the DoF website (www.fisheries.gov.bd). Applicants may obtain further information and collect the ToR along with Application Forms from the office of the undersigned or through the email of the undersigned during office hours (09:00 am - 05:00 pm) on all working days up to January 10, 2022.
A consultant will be selected following the Selection of Individual Consultants method in accordance with the Public Procurement Rules, 2008. |
