Academic Qualification
• Post-Graduation on fisheries management or equivalent in related discipline from recognized University/Institution.
Experience
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in design, preparation, implementation and management of Fisheries management and development projects.
• Very good understanding as an International Expert of Tuna and Tuna like fisheries resources of the Indian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal. Preferences will be given to candidates having worked in/for other South Asian Countries.
• Strong track record in sustainable fisheries management, fishermen training, design and trial of Tuna and Tuna like fishing vessels and gears.
• Experience of Tuna and tuna like fisheries business management, fleet management, fishing methods, data collection, financial analysis, traceability of product for marketing. |

Duration: 18 man-months
The Department of Fisheries represented by Project Director of Pilot Project on Tuna and Similar Pelagic Fishing in Deep Sea invites eligible applicants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Applicants are invited to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the said consultancy services. The ToR and scope of services along with Application Forms of the consultants will be available in the “Notice” of the DoF website (www.fisheries.gov.bd). Applicants may obtain further information and collect the ToR along with Application Forms from the office of the undersigned or through the email of the undersigned during office hours (09:00 am - 05:00 pm) on all working days up to January 25, 2022
A consultant will be selected following the Selection of Individual Consultants method in accordance with the Public Procurement Rules, 2008. |
