INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The main objective of the assignment is to calculate the primary reserve of iron ore, to recommend the necessity of detail Feasibility study and also mention the possibility to develop the iron ore mine.
The study is included (but not limited to) the following activities:-
• Exploration planning, supervision and management of exploration activities;
• Study of the previous data;
• Exploratory drilling of 06 (six) holes with geological and geophysical logging;
• Lab analysis of samples as per International standard;
• Determination of the geological conditions, primary ore reserves, quality of reserve etc.
• To indicate if it would be technically and economically viable to carry out the next phase of study/development the iron mine;
• Finally to prepare a preliminary study report by indicating if it would be viable to develop an underground iron ore mine in this field.

| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

a. The Consulting Firm shall be an internationally recognized mining consulting firm with good track record of works.
b. The Consulting Firm shall have at least 10 years working experiences in iron ore mine feasibility study works.
c. The Firm shall have successfully completed at least 2 (two) Iron ore mine Pre-feasibility/ feasibility study jobs in last 15 (Fifteen) years.
d. Have full time dedicated and qualified Geologists and Mining Engineers with good command in English.
e. The Consulting Firm shall have experiences of Iron ore geological investigation, geological modeling using modern computer program, resource and reserve estimation according to internationally accepted standard (such as JORC, NI 43-101 etc.).
f. The Consulting Firm shall have experience of supervision and interpretation of geological drilling data.
g. The Subcontractor for borehole drilling engaged by the Consulting Firm should have experiences at least 10,000 meter core drilling (in total boreholes) with a minimum depth of 800 meter.
h. If any Joint venture/Consortium/Association is formed, the members/partners of the Joint venture/Consortium/ Association shall not exceed 2 firms/companies.

The intending consulting firms may collect the detailed Terms of Reference from the office of General Manager (Planning and Exploration), Barapukuria Coal Mining Company Limited, Head office:-Chowhati, Parbatipur, Dinajpur, Bangladesh. The ToR may also collect from company’s liaison office:-Petrocentre (14th Floor), 3 Kawran Bazar C/A, Dhaka-1215, Bangladesh during office hour till 13/12/2021 or from company’s website. The website address is: www.bcmcl.org.bd.
a. Interested consulting firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services. The short-listing criteria are:
i) Age of firm.
ii) Overseas experience of the firm in similar works.
iii) Experience of the foreign consultants.
iv) Availability of resources.
v) Experiences of the subcontractors (if applicable).
While indicating Information relating to ii), it shall be made clear whether responsibility of the firm was in capacity of a principal firm (lead partner) or as an associated firm (sub-consultant/JV partner).
b. Consultants are requested to submit the following supporting documents against the above mentioned criteria:
i) Registration paper of the firm (s);
ii) Firm's brochure;
iii) Service experience record ;
iv) Short biography of key Professionals;
v) Financial Ability;
c. Any application submitted later than the specified time shall not be entertained.
d. RFP will issue only to short listed firms.
