Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

Environmental Safeguards Specialist ( Package No. SF-09): • At least a Masters Degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Botany, Biology, Zoology or Ecology or equivalent degree, • At least Seven (07) years of relevant operational experience and proven track record in working on projects covering a broad range of environmental development issues, • Knowledge and experience of working on forestry and plantation,
• Experience of working on environmental risk mitigation of development projects in environmentally vulnerable contexts, • Ability to think strategically and conduct dialogue on environmental and forest development policies and priorities, while maintaining a strong sense of realism with regard to context, conditions and competing demands for resources, • Good understanding of IDA’s environmental safeguards policies, • Excellent spoken and written Bengali and English skills, • Field experience is highly desirable.
Social Safeguards Specialist (Package No. SF-08): • At least a Masters Degree in a relevant field such as sociology, anthropology, Business Administration or other social sciences, • At least five (5) years of relevant operational experience and proven track record in working on projects covering a broad range of social development issues,
• Experience of working on social risk mitigation of development projects, • Experience of working on the empowerment of women and girls and/or other gender focused issues, • Ability to think strategically and conduct dialogue on social development policies and priorities, while maintaining a strong sense of realism with regard to context, conditions and competing demands for resources, • Good understanding of IDAs social safeguards policies, • Field experience is highly desirable, • Excellent spoken and written Bengali and English skills. |

4. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraphs 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, dated July 2016, revised November 2017, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
5. The consultants will be selected following the Open Competitive Selection of Individual Consultants method of the World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, Dated July 2016, revised November 2017.
6. Emergency Multi-Sector Rohingya Crisis Response Project now invites eligible Applicants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested individual consultants are invited to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services. Expression of Interest (EOI) for the above positions shall be be submitted either by mail or in person or through e-mail to the following address by 2:00 p.m. on December 14, 2021.
