| Brief Description of Assignment |

BCIC has planned on “Implementing BMR activities to provide value added insulator & Sanitary ware products replacing old and out of order machines and by introducing energy efficient & environmental friendly technology in the premises of BISF, Boxnagar, Mirpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh”.
To ensure and perform the above mentioned activities, BCIC would like to appoint a reputed and experienced Consulting Firm.Consultant’s responsibilities/ assignment include, but not limited to, the following:
To make a Techno–Economic Study Report on incorporating Insulator & Sanitary ware existing production units, but not limited to,
A.1 To determine the availability of under shade Floor Space within BISF Boundary Limit and all its Auxiliary Facilities. Plot plan and lay-out of the proposed machineries need to be submitted.
A.2 To determine the
A.2.1 Specification of machineries, technology selection, implementation and acceptance of work from Contactor after visiting the factory premises.
A.2.2 Prepare ITB documents.
A.2.3 Assist owner in implementation.
A.2.4 Assist owner to accept work from contractor.
A-3 To study the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and to suggest its Environmental Management Plan (EMP) providing Restructuring Action Plan (RAP) through adjusting/ incorporating all dozing/ filtration system considering the effluent volume/ quantity irrespective of solid, liquid, gaseous pollutants/ exhaust abiding DoE Rules and Regulations of Bangladesh.
A-4. To evaluate all Utilities, Auxiliaries and Offsite required by the complex include but not limited to: Water Intake, Water Treatment System, Demineralized Water System, , Steam and Power Generation System, Instrument and Plant Air System, Distribution System for Water, Steam and Power; Raw material storage, Loading and Unloading infrastructure facilities of existing Product Dispatch System Fire Fighting Facility and any other offsite facilities required for normal operation of the plant safely and ultimately to get better productivity of BISF.
A-5 To evaluate the Economic viability of Proposed changes considering availability of imported raw materials, distribution of finished and intermediary product and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) issue and ultimately to get quality product to minimize running loss.

Experience
16.1 Background of Firm(s) with detailed brochure to be submitted along with authentic document and proof of each credit criteria (any statement without such evidencing documents will be of no use) mentioning their facilities and areas of expertise.
16.2 Minimum 05 (Five) years’ of general experience in BMR activities related to ceramic sector production unit by introducing energy efficient & environmental friendly technology.
16.3 Having similar type of experience as Consulting Firm on “Implementing BMR activities to provide value added ceramic insulator & Sanitary ware products replacing old and out of order machines and by introducing energy efficient & environmental friendly technology” in last 05 (Five) years; where years counting backward from the date of publication of EoI Notice.
16.4 Experience as a consulting firm in at least 1(One) project in Glass and Ceramics sectors to prepare 16.4.1 Specification of machineries, technology selection, implementation and acceptance of work from Contactor after visiting the factory premises.
16.4.2 Prepare ITB documents.
16.4.3 Assist owner in implementation.
16.4.4 Assist owner to accept work from contractor.

Resources and Delivery Capacity Required
16.5 16.1 Availability of appropriate experienced and professionally qualified persons / experts among the staff and resources to carry out the assignment (CV of each experts must be submitted).
16.6 Having average annual financial turnover of USD 0.25 (Zero Point Two Five) million for last 3 (three) years; years counting backward from the date of publication of EoI Notice.
16.7 List of the experts in “Implementing BMR activities to provide value added insulator & Sanitary ware products replacing old and out of order machines and by introducing energy efficient & environmental friendly technology”.
16.8 As such reputed firms are hereby invited to submit proposals completing as per following Prescribed EoI Format.-1 and it is must.
