INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |

Responsibilities of the Communication/GRM Expert: Details given in Terms of Reference (TOR).
Duration: 24 person months on a full-time basis.

| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

A post graduate degree from any recognized university in Social Science, preferable in Sociology, Anthropology, Law, Public Administration, Communication or management; Minimum 15 years of overall working experience and at least 10 years of professional experience in the areas of land acquisition process, involuntary resettlement, consultation and participation, socio-economic surveys, monitoring and evolution, etc.; Proven understanding of issues related to social accountability, inclusion, grievance redress mechanism (GRM) including GBV/SEA/SH response GRM and stakeholder engagement, excellent communication, inter-personal, problem-solving, negotiation and training skills, and excellent communication, data analysis and report-writing skills in English; Good command of both in written and spoken English and Bengali. Previous field experience and work experiences with the World Bank or other international development organizations a plus; and Must not be above 65 years of age. |

3. The Communication/GRM Expert will be selected using the Selection of Individual Consultant (SIC) method in accordance with the World Bank Guidelines on “Selection and Employment of Consultant under IBRD loans and IDA Credit & Grants by World Bank Borrowers (January 2011, revised July 2014). The attention of interested Engineers/ Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the Guidelines setting forth the World Bank Group’s policy on conflict of interest.
4. Terms of Reference (TOR) in details of the assignment, Template for Application and CV would be available at Office of the Project Director during office hour; and also in website: www.biwta.gov.bd. Applicants qualifications will be reviewed for evaluation in the manner specified in the TOR. Applicants are therefore advised to download/obtain it and consult the same before applying.
