| Brief Description of Assignment |

The main objectives of the Consultancy Services to prepare the detailed Master Plan with 3D view, Topography survey, Soil test, detailed architectural & structural design and drawing and supervision of the project “Development of River Port Infrastructure at Chilmary (Ramna, Jorgachh, Rajibpur, Rowmari, Nayarhat)” The Consultancy Services will be in two phases. In first phase (6 month) Detailed Architectural Drawing, Structural Design, Cost Estimate and related work will be done and in second phase (30 month) will be Construction Supervision. The project works will be for a) Internal RCC Road, b) Pontoon, gangway & Jetty, c) Bank Protection, d) Office building, Port building etc. e) Gate & Fence, f) Utilities (water supply, sanitation and drainage system), g) Electrical layout plan showing position of sub-station, cable duct line, flood light, tower mast and an extensive fire fighting system including all parmanent infrastructures and technical fasilities. The specific objectives are to:
The Total Duration of the Consultancy Services Will be 36 (Thirty six) month ( Design 6 months, Supervision 30 months and Defect liabilities 3 months). Following are the specific objectives of the consultancy services but not limited to:
i) Preparetion of detail Architectural master plan with 3D view following the DPP items;
ii) Detail Survey at proposed project area Cadastral surveys/ Topographic surveys, Geotechnical surveys, Bathymetric survey, Social and Environmental survey including preparation action plan of Foreshore land and other survey as required.
iii) Review the initial Feasibility study report, Verify the survey and design, updating of design and working drawings,
iv) Detail Design at all structure including cost estimate, Standard Tender Document (STD), BoQ for each package as per DPP.
v) The consultancy services envisage alignment of structures in the site, selection of landing facilities with road linkage, review of the design of a) Internal RCC Road, b) Pontoon, gangway & Jetty, c) Bank Protection, d) Office building, Port building etc. e) Gate & Fence, f) Utilities (water supply, sanitation and drainage system), g) Electrical layout plan showing position of sub-station, cable duct line, flood light, tower mast etc as per site condition;
vi) Review and Approve contractor's quality management plan, work program, method statements, material sources, manpower and equipment deployment, construction environmental health and safety (EHS plans, etc.;
vii) Prepare standard formats for recording site records and reporting purpose;
viii) Review and finalize the design/drawing as per site requirement as well as preparation of new drawing;
ix) Conduct regular site meetings to discuss issues and problems affecting the progress, keep minutes and report the employer accordingly;
x) Supervision of Construction works as per drawing, design, BOQ etc.;

The Firm is expected to have experience in designing different types of water related civil structure etc. The Consulting Firm should have minimum10 years of general experience in various types of civil Engineering Consultancy works but preference will be given to the Firm(s) who have experience in doing similar types of works.
The Consulting Firm needs to deploy following experts and supporting staff :
i) Team leader (Sr. Structural Engineer); ii) Architect/Terminal Planner, iii) Structural Engineer /Design Engineer (Civil), iv Geotechnical Engineer/Foundation engineer v) Electrical Engineer vi) Road/Pavement Engineer (PE), vii) Resident Engineer (RE), viii) Material / Quality Control Engineer; ix) Assistant Engineer (Civil), x) Site Engineer (Civil), xii) Site Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical), xiii) Estimator, xiv) Surveyor, xv) CAD / Computer Operator etc.

Duration of the work will be 36 (thirty six) months. BIWTA now invites eligible Firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Firms are invited to provide information and documents (brochures, description of similar assignments, experiences, organogram/Manpower set-up of the firm, Financial Capacity (Audit report, turnover etc), qualification and experience of all experts and staff, trade license, VAT, income tax certificate etc.) indicating that they are qualified to perform the services.
