Brief Description of Assignment |

Research activities will be undertaken to assess the capacity of the health care delivery system (service availability and readiness assessment) will be assessed (both public and private health facilities) regarding COVID-19.
Thematic area: COVID-19 related Public Health Service availability and redness assessment
Objectives: Service availability and readiness assessment of COVID-19 disease management at different tiers of health service delivery in Bangladesh and evaluation of public health response, psychosocial support, quality of care, Infection prevention and control (IPC) and clinical care services in the light of Bangladesh Pandemic Response Plan (BPRP) for COVID-19 pandemic.
Expected outcome: The capacity of the health care delivery system (service availability and readiness assessment) will be assessed (both public and private health facilities) regarding COVID-19 and recommendations are made to strengthen management capacity (specially facilities) for COVID-19 in Bangladesh.

Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

The research organization or agencies should have the reputation recognizing its expertise in the field of Health care service activities and must have minimum 5 years of experience in research fields. The organizations will need to provide documentary evidence in this regard and a profile including a list of relevant research activities for the past 5 years mentioning volume of fund and funding agencies.
Interested research firms are invited to provide the following information.
(a) Brochures submitted by the Applicants summarizing their facilities and areas of expertise;
(b) Descriptions of similar assignments.
(c) Experience in similar operating environments and conditions;
(d) Availability of appropriate experience and professional qualifications among applicant’s staff and adequate resources to carry out the assignment; and
(e) Managerial strength and financial capacity.
Shortlisted qualified firms will be formally invited to submit valid trade license/Registration, up dated income tax certificate, certificate of VAT, bank solvency certificate and other relevant documents.
NB: Valid trade license/Registration, up dated income tax certificate, certificate of VAT, bank solvency are not applicable for Government institutions/organizations.

Research organizations will be selected by Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC) after anonymous review of the Request for Proposal (RFP) in accordance with the Public Procurement Act 2006 & Public Procurement Regulation 2008 of the Government of the people’s Republic of Bangladesh (followed by QCBS Method). Proposals must have the ethical approval of BMRC.
N.B: An Institute/Organization/Firm is requested to submit only one EOI of BMRC. For any breach of the above condition, procuring entity preserves the rights to cancel the EOI and may disqualify the Institute/Organization/Firm. |
