INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The work consists of:
a. furnishing a desktop study, a techno economic feasibility study of sunken vessels/wreck in the outer anchorage area of Chittagong port authority at bay of Bengal in accordance with the highest standards of the marine engineering profession and the applicable standards of CPA.
b. Determine the potential areas after salvaged for ensuring safe navigation and entrance of larger ships in the river Karnaphuli.
c. Environmental aspects (such as sustainability, nature protection, reuse of salvage materials and dealing with contaminated sediments)
d. Provide a strategy on how to dispose salvage materials, and if that’s not possible how to deal with them;
e. Effective planning and methods of salvage for sustainable use of the anchorage area.
f. Provide a strategic plan for optimum utilization of the anchorage area and approach.
g. Maritime access Information (salvage plan, maritime safety, international standards, etc)
h. How to implement the safe anchorage maintenance strategy in laws, regulation and enforcement to avoid collision/ accident at the anchorage area.

| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

1. The Eligible consulting firms are to indicate their interest in providing the above mentioned services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (such as: brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff etc.).
Submitted EOI’s would be evaluated on the basis of the following, among others:
Registration of the firm(s);
Annual turnover of the firm(s);
Availability of resources including support services;
Availability of professionals;
Experience of firm(s) in similar works;
Work experience in Various sea and harbours at global level (joint venture allowed).
2. Individual applicant or JVCA firm:
a. Have expertise in completing studies/analysis reports in terms of technical, economic, environmental, operational, financial feasibility of the said study.
b. Having experience in detailed morphological studies of sea dynamics and stability in navigational channel and outer anchorage area.
c. Having certified engineering or relevant professional experience. In addition to the services defined in this EOI the Consultant shall have sufficient knowledge related Studies.
d. The financial capability should be shown as Financial Turnover supported by audited financial reports for the last five years.
e. The lead firm shall be liable for the entire study obligations under the contract.
The above mentioned criteria are an outline of overall idea for the prospective Consultancy Firm. However the detailed Terms of Reference (TOR), qualification criteria, resource requirements, financial strength and all other related terms as required for rendering the consultancy services will be clearly elaborated in the Request For Proposal (RFP).
