Brief Description of Assignment |

Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration & Production Company Limited (BAPEX) (A Company of Petrobangla) desires to carry out acquisition of 2000 LKM and processing & interpretation of 3000 Ground LKM (30 to 60 Fold) of 2D Seismic data by outsourcing using State-of the-art equipment in its Exploration Block 15 & 22 (a part of Eastern Folded Belt, Bengal Basin), constituting a total area of 20,000 SQKM (7000 SQKM in Block 15, 13000 SQKM in Block-22). The Seismic Service Provider must be internationally reputed Geophysical Seismic Service Provider in oil and gas sector, specialized in high resolution seismic imaging to establish subsurface geological model for hydrocarbon exploration. The service provider must have dedicated Design/Acquisition/Processing/Interpretation/ Resource/Reserve estimation experts. The brief job description includes Parameter Setting, Field Design, Quality Control, Data acquisition, Data Processing, Data Interpretation & Resource/Reserve estimation by means of latest Instrument, Software & Hardware used by leading International Seismic Service Provider. The assignment should be completed within June’2023 immediately after signing the contract. |
Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

The International Seismic Service Provider should have at least 10 years of experience having at least 10,000 LKM 2D seismic data acquisition, processing, interpretation & resource evaluation experience per year accomplished by at least 3 different projects in the last 5 years (2015-2020). The 10,000 LKM per year must include all the aspects of acquisition, processing & interpretation. For example, if a seismic service provider has completed 5000 LKM acquisition, 2000 LKM processing & 3000 LKM comprehensive interpretation in a year will be accepted. On the other hand, if a seismic service provider has completed 8000 LKM acquisition, 2000 LKM processing will not be accepted, as the seismic service provider is lacking the experience in seismic data interpretation. The individual aspects (acquisition, processing, interpretation) must be at least 2000 LKM per year. |
