The interested Applicants need to provide information demonstrating that s/he has the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services. The selection criteria are:
• Relevant educational qualifications:
- B.Sc. in engineering or Master’s in Procurement/Supply Chain Management/ Law/Business Administration or other relevant subjects;
- Having advanced academic/professional qualification in procurement will be an added advantage.
• General Experience:
- 15(fifteen) years of general experience in Public Procurement;
• Specific Experience:
- 10(ten) years of relevant experience in a position having responsibilities with a substantial content of his/her position in the procurement area (use of internationally accepted contract documents for works, goods and services; sound understanding of principles underlying good procurement practices and international agencies’ procurement guidelines; understanding of Government’s procurement Act/Rules; analytical capability in identifying and resolving procurement issues);
- Proven working experience on procurement following World Bank’s or other Multilateral Development Bank’s Procurement Guidelines.
- Solid working knowledge on PPA-2006 and PPR-2008. Experience in the preparation of bidding document/Request for proposal for procuring of goods, works and services as well as evaluation of same.
- experience in internationally advertised complex supply & installation/works procurements, and consulting services;
Applicants are required to submit their Expressions of Interest (EoI), comprising of a CV (including employment history with duties and responsibilities) and a forwarding letter describing briefly the reasons that the applicant considers him/her-self best suited to perform the assignment.
The attention of interested Applicants is drawn to paragraphs 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, July 2016 (Procurement Regulations), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest |
