INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The Consultant’s duties and responsibilities will include but not necessarily be limited to the following (Details are specified in TOR):
i. Full coordination responsibility for all aspects of planning, liaison and implementation of the project activities;
ii. Provide advice and direction to the consortium of the feasibility study;
iii. Prepare the required documents for the procurement of services under PPR;
iv. Assist the Ministry of Industries/ Project Director in selection of the consortium for feasibility study;
v. Assist the Ministry of Industries/ Project Director in selection of land for the TSDF Project, and make required coordination with the Local Administration, BSBRA, Consortium and other stakeholders;
vi. Prepare project plan, schedules and time frame work for the publications of reports;
vii. Attend meetings as and when required;
viii. Responsible for quality control of output of the study;
ix. Contribute and review the reports of the consortium and give suggestions for improvement.
x. Investigate the present scenario of chain of custody of solid and hazardous wastes generated from the ship recycling industry and other industries situated in the vicinity;
xi. Prepare maps and presentation materials for reporting and discussion meeting;
xii. Oversee the tasks and technical activities of the consortium on behalf of the ministry;
xiii. Reporting to the Ministry of Industries/ Project Director on the progress of project activities. |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |
: |
i. Minimum of Masters in Management, Business Studies, Public Administration, Public Policy or in any other relevant subject.
ii. He/she should have vast knowledge and work experience in the field of ship recycling industry.
iii. He/ She should have at least 15 years of experience in Management/ Administration/ Project Management.
iv. Having sound knowledge and experience in public procurement is mandatory.

The consultant will directly be under the close supervision of the Project Director.
Short-listing will be made in accordance with the PPR 2008.
