| Brief Description of Assignment |

The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh (GoB) expects to receive a loan towards the cost of the Integrated Urban Development (Sector) Project (IUDP) from Asian Development Bank (ADB). It is expected that loan-amount will be used for enhancing the service-expanse of some selected Pourashavas (PSs). The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) under the Local Government Division (LGD) of the Ministry of Local Government Rural Development and Co-operatives (MoLGRD&C) will initiate action regarding selection of the stated Consultancy services under the loan for IUDP. LGED intends to invite Expression of Interest (EoI) for this Project Readiness Services (PRS). Consultancy services will require about 482 national person-months which includes involving 180 person-months for Planning Sub-unit, 142 person-months for Design sub-unit and 160 person-months for Urban Management sub-unit rendered over 20 calender months from commencement date; |

4. The scope of the Consultancy Services will include all tasks for (i) conducting physical survey (ii) identification and prioritization of sub-projects, (iii) conducting technical, economic and social assessment of sub-projects, (iv) preparing detail designs, drawings, and bid documents, SPARs associated with Procurement of works, (v) ensuring environmental and social safeguard compliance according to guidelines of ADB, (vi) preparing and introducing O&M plans (Detail scope of consultancy services are provided in ToR); |
