INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The duties include, but are not necessarily limited to:
• Guide and conduct procurement in accordance with the World Bank Procurement Regulations (July 2016) (“Procurement Regulations”);
• Prepare procurement plan for goods, works, services and non-consulting services under the Project, and update the procurement plan in the World Bank's Systematic Tracking of Exchanges in Procurement (STEP);
• Conduct procurement activities which includes but not limited to preparation and update of procurement plan, preparation of ToR or Bidding Document, REoI, SPN (Specific Procurement Notice), shortlisting of firms, conducting pre-bid clarification meeting, participation in bid or proposal evaluation and contract negotiation, drafting and finalising contract;
• Assisting STEP and other concern systemic procedure as per WB requirement;
• Assist in annual physical inventory verification exercise to ensure accuracy of records and location of property and maintain in the inventory system database;
• Reporting: To prepare monthly reports on progress made so far, implementation approaches, challenges/issues and ways forward.

Educational Qualification:
Master or equivalent degree in business administration/Information Technology/ Accounting/ Law or BSc Engineering or in a similarly related field.
Technical and Functional Experience
• 08 Years of work experience in public sector;
• Out of which 03 years work experience in public procurement and assets management preferably in development projects with the knowledge of GOB procurement rules;
• At least 2 years Procurement experience in projects funded by the World Bank or other Development partners is desirable;
• Experience in electronic procurement (e-GP);
• Fully conversant and possessing skills in MS word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software applications compatible to World Bank system;

• Persons who are already in services of the Republic or the local authorities/ Corporation etc. must have written certification from their employer/ office head confirming no objection to allow for work full-time outside (on lien) of their official position.
