INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT
|
| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
Position: Project planning, Monitoring and Evaluation specialist.The specialist will have at least 15 years of experience including 10 years of profession working experience in the relevant fields, preferably in countries with similar to Bangladesh.
(i) Define detailed methodologies for data collection, analytical procedures for monitoring and evaluation of economic and social effects and impact of the project;
(ii) Prepare project implementation plan, monitoring & evaluation plan of the project;
(iii) Identify the problems and loopholes of the project and take necessary actions/suggestions to overcome those for successful implementation of the project. and other tasks as per TOR.
(iv) Prepare field inspection/monitoring reports of the project on the basis of available field level data and information. The report will contain implementation progress with up-to-date status of physical and financial issues of the project to ensure the quality of works;
(v) Traveling in the project areas to monitoring and follow-up the on-going activities and share the gained experience with the stakeholder and advise immediate actions to the authority for further improvement;
(vi) Monitor and supervise project activities through reviewing progress reports;
Junior Water Resources Planning and Infrastructure Design SpecialistAt least 5 years’ experience relevant to the task mentioned in TOR, preferably in countries with similar conditions as Bangladesh.
(i) assist in formulating and operationalizing effective planning for implementing water resources subprojects.
(ii) assist in designing water structures for new subproject and modify or redesign old existing subproject for rehabilitation or enhancement to ensure that the systems will function properly;
(iii) design and construction management including contract administration, scheduling, supervision, quality control, quantity and quality recording at key stages at the field level.
(iv) assist to provide training on planning, design and construction issues in practice in LGED for SSWRD Projects implementation to LGED Personal at different levels, WMCAs and LGIs needed for the Project.
(v) assist PMU in construction monitoring check and other task as per TOR
CAD SpecialistAt least 5 year experiences in relevant field including CAD design, ability to model structural components intelligently and efficiently to ensure the integrity of the structure envelope.
(i) Work with CAD system creating, modifying and releasing drawings under direct supervision of structural designer and water resources specialist.
(ii) Create technical drawings used in the construction of water structures by using CAD software.
(iii) Create structural drawing-bridges, dams, buildings, offshore platforms and pipeline.
(iv) Create drawing for irrigation and drainage system
(v) Create all engineering design plans, by hand or with computer aided design (CAD) software
(vi) Develop and prepare sketches
(vii) Develop engineering designs and drawings
(viii) Operator computer-assisted design and drafting workstations.

The Project Director, Sustainable Small Scale Water Resources Development Project (SSSWRDP), LGED now invites eligible Applicants to apply for the positions. Applicants are invited to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (complete CV with other details as required as per the Application Forms, RFA).
Consultant will be selected using the selection of individual consultant sub-method in accordance with section 38 of the Public Procurement Act 2006 and Rule 112 & Rule 104(f) of the Public Procurement Rule 2008. It is expected that the services will be commenced in June 2020.
Interested Candidates are requested to submit their expressions of interest in accordance with the standard Application Forms (Which are available in the LGED website: lged.gov.bd/site/view/tender_type/‡mev) on or before 30/03/2020 at 2:00pm in sealed envelop delivered to the undersigned and be clearly marked “Request for Expression” for selection of Individual Consultant along the name of the Post.
