INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The duties include, but are not necessarily limited to:
• Plan, coordinate and facilitate all IT related activities pertinent to the objectives of the LDDP project
• Works closely with the M&E Officer to ensure effective integration of the MIS and M&E activities.
• Provide technical support and required assistance on the project MIS and information technology to all users in the PMU.
• Ensure that the project related MIS systems are up to date and functioning properly.
• Responsible for ensuring timely input of all requisite MIS data from the project into the relevant MIS.
• Technical responsibility to ensure that the project related MIS is capable of producing requisite production of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual progress reports.
• Coordinate and oversee any IT or MIS enhancements deemed necessary for the project, including all the required safeguards to protect personal data.
• Works closely with the Livestock Insurance Vertical Unit (LIVU) staff of the PMU (livestock insurance vertical unit) to ensure the development of a pilot animal identification database, part of the “Bangladesh Integrated Network for Livestock Information” (BINLI).

Educational Qualification:
Advance degree in Animal Husbandry/Veterinary Science/Agriculture/Electronics Engineering/ICT/ CSE/Electrical & Electronics/Agri. Engineering/Communication/Computer Sciences/Post-Graduate Diploma in IT/MIS will add further value
Technical and Functional Experience:
a) At least 15 years of experience in knowledge and data management preferably in the agriculture/livestock sectors; experienced candidate can get waiver;
b) Any combination of training and /or experience of MIS at least 5 - 8 years which demonstrates ability to perform the duties as described;
c) Experience in the design and development of knowledge management systems, including communications, online learning, and capacity building are preferred;
d) Ability to present information and interact effectively with a large spectrum of different stakeholders.
e) Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office;
f) Demonstrable quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and ability to organize and train project staff on Information technology;
g) Experience in Information Management is desirable.
h) Computer literacy skills in systems administration and networking is an added advantage.
i) Ability to work independently and under pressure; good interpersonal skills are desirable;
j) Minimum Age Limit is 35 years;
