INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT
|
Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
i. Analyze the new requirement and engage with the team for design, development and deployment in line with business requirement.
ii. Write efficient code by following standard software development life cycle for new features in the system.
iii. Update the application to address security enhancement for e-GP portal.
iv. Maintain and ensure that the code is written as per standard secure coding practice (i.e. by code review/peer review).
v. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to solve the problem, style sheet authoring , web programming, component programming, web service development, debugging modules, performing unit testing and improvement of GUI for better user experience, consistency, and performance.
vi. Building and testing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Web Services for e-GP application to exchange data/maintain interoperability keeping consistency with standard operating procedure (SOP) of e-GP system.
vii. Maintain the version of e-GP application in staging, training and production environment.
viii. Support capacity development initiatives by continuous exchange of knowledge between team members, providing training and conducting session on technical issues within e-GP technical team and CPTU.
ix. Any other task assigned by the management related to e-GP. |
Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |
: |
A. General Experience
a. Web developer must be a graduate in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology or equivalent.
b. Web developer should have cutting-edge skills and high level professional knowledge with at least 5 (five) years of proven work experience in designing, coding of web application and bug fixing in high-end multi-tier web application in international context.
B. Specific skills and Experience:
a. Proven experience on multi-tier web application development using Object Oriented development principles using Java/ Java EE, JSP, jQquery, Ajax, Servlets etc.
b. Vendor certification such as OCP (Oracle certified Professional, Java SE 6/7/8 Programmer) or equivalent would be an added advantage.
c. Knowledge on different java frameworks (i.e. Spring, JSF, Hibernate etc.)
d. Hands on experience in installation, configuration, performance tuning of web servers by applying best practices.
e. Proven experience on developing web services/API using JAVA platform including XML, XSLT, XSL and interfacing with third party application.
f. Experience in mobile application development in android/ios would be an added advantage.
g. Experience on software testing tools and vulnerability assessment tools will be an added advantage.
h. Excellent oral and written communication skills. |

individual Web Developer (WD) (International) approximately for 39 staff-months.
The Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) now invites eligible Applicants to indicate their interest in providing the services. The Applicants are requested to submit their : (a) CV (Curriculum Vitae), which will indicate that they are qualified to perform the assignments; (b) expected remuneration and, (c) submission letter as per prescribed format. The format can be downloaded from the website of CPTU (www.cptu.gov.bd) or can be collected from the office of the DG, CPTU.
6. The Web Developer (WD) will be selected in accordance with the “World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (July 2016)”.
7. Expression of Interest (EOI) must be submitted within 5pm on 16th May, 2019 either in sealed envelop clearly marked “ EOI for Web Developer(WD)” or through email sent to Director General, CPTU, and project Director, DIMAPPP, IMED, Ministry of Planning, Dhaka, Bangladesh, Telephone: +88-02-9144250/9144252-253.
