INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The key responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
i. Analyze the new requirement and engage with the team independently for design, development and deployment of software in line with business requirement.
ii. Write efficient code by using standard software development tools currently using by CPTU for new features in the system.
iii. Continuously updating the application with the security requirements. Maintain and ensure that application coding is written as per standard secure coding practice (i.e. code review/peer review).
iv. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to solve the problem, style sheet authoring , web programming, component programming, web service development, debugging the module, performing unit testing and improvement of GUI for better user experience, consistency, and performance.
v. Building and testing Application Program Interfaces (APIs), Web Services for eGP application to exchange data/maintain interoperability keeping consistency with standard operating procedure (SOP) of e-GP system.
vi. Maintain the version of eGP application in staging, training and production stage.
vii. Support capacity development initiatives by continuous exchange of knowledge between team members, providing training and conducting session on technical issues within e-GP technical team and CPTU.
viii. Any other task assigned by the management related to e-GP. |
Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |
: |
A. General Experience
a. Web developer must be a graduate in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology or equivalent.
b. Web developer should have cutting-edge skill and high level professional knowledge with at least 3 (three) years of proven work experience in designing, coding of web application and bug fixing in high-end multi-tier web application.
B. Specific skills and Experience:
a. Proven experience on multi-tier web application development using Object Oriented development principles in Java/ Java EE, JSP, Ajax, Servlets, NetBean, SQL Server.
b. Vendor certification such as OCP (Oracle certified Professional, Java SE 6/7/8 Programmer) or equivalent would be an added advantage.
c. Hands on experience in installation, configuration, performance tuning of web servers by applying best practice.
d. Proven experience on developing web services/API under JAVA platform including XML, XSLT, XSL and interfacing with third party application.
e. Experience in mobile application development in android/ios would be an added advantage.
f. Experience using software testing tools and vulnerability assessment tools is an added advantage.
g. Excellent oral and written communication skills. |
