Preparation of GIS based Maps (Ward Level) at DNCC, DSCC & SCC.
# The government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh (GoB) has received a credit for the “Urban Resilience Project (URP)” from the International Development Agency (IDA) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to pay for procurement of services from internayional/ national consultancy firm/ agency to carry out the work of preparation of GIS basemaps for the three City Corporations (DNCC, DSCC & SCC) using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) platform under the project following World Bank guidelines as well as Public Procurement Acts/rules of the Governement of Bangladesh.
# Primary objective of the assignment is to prepare GIS based asset inventory and web GIS based asset management system for Dhaka North/ South and Sylhet City Corporations as a platform for efficient planning and management of the city corporation assets and to reinforce emergency response capacity of the City Corporations. The digital asset geo database will eventually facilitate the city corporations in strategic planning and resource utilization, management function and planning & management of day to day operations.
# The expected duration of the assignment is twelve (12) months commencing from the date of the signing of the contract. The scope of this Consultancy services during this period shall include, but not liminted to:
• To create an ArcGIS Enterprise Geodatabase
• Establish a Web Application
• Field Verificaton Survey
• Draft Base Map
• Quality Check on Data Submission & Data Verification
• Final Base Map Incorporataing Feedback and Final Report

# Interested consulting firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services. EOIs should include brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, summaries of firm’s capability, availability of appropriate skills among key staff with short biographies (one paragraph), availability of resources, and snapshots of relevant transactional experience. The EOIs would be reviewed on the basis of the following:
a. Registration of firm.
b. Age of firm.
c. Availability and qualification of key professionals.
d. Availability of resources (Manpower, Finance, etc.).
e. Experience of the firm in similar task.
f. Experience of the firm in other works.
g. Logistics/ support services of the firm.
