| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The consultant’s duties and responsibilities will include but not necessarily be limited to the following [Details is mentioned in the Terms of Reference (ToR) of EoI document]:
(i) Close supervision of civil construction works & total quality control of work done by the contractors and execute contract administration;
(ii) Ensure proper installation of Pre-fabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) as well as soft soil improvement in terms of quality and quantity;
(iii) Regularly monitor progress of work and take actions required for timely completion of works as per design, drawing and specification;

The Consulting Firm(s) submitting Expression of Interest must have following Experiences as consultant/ sub-consultant during the last 10 (Ten) years from the last date of submission of EoI.
(i) General Experience of consulting services in Highway/ Railway/ Road/ Approach Road/ Port/Jetty /Power Plant Construction Project in the area of Design and Construction Supervision & Quality Control.
(ii) Specific Experience of Consulting Services: (a) Experience of Detail Design and Construction Supervision & Quality Control of Highway/ Railway/ Road/ Approach Road on new Embankment including Box Culvert and Slope Protection. (b) Experience of Supervision of soft soil improvement/ ground improvement by PVD for construction of Highway/ Railway/ Road/ Approach Road/ Port/Jetty /Power Plant.
(iii) The Consulting Firm(s) shall have Legal Registration Certificate from Competent Authority/ Trade License, Tax Clearance Certificate (updated), VAT Registration Certificate and Last 3 (Three) years Audited Balance Sheet.
(iv) Consultants have to stay in Project Site at Matarbari, Mosheshkhali, Cox’s Bazar.
(v) Approximate Man-months will be 34. Three (3) professionals are required to perform the task of this project (Senior Consultant cum PVD Expert- 4 Man-month, Consultant- 15 Man-month and Junior Consultant- 15 Man-month). [Details is mentioned in the ToR of EoI document]
