Workshops to strengthen awareness about public procurement and electronic government procurement (e-GP) system have been conducted in all 64 districts of Bangladesh.
The 64th such workshop was held at LGED Conference Hall, Level-2 in Dhaka on February 26, 2017.
Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) of Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED), Ministry of Planning, conducted the 64 workshops facilitated by Bangladesh Centre for Communication Programs (BCCP).
At the 64th workshop in Dhaka, Secretary in Charge of IMED, Md Mofizul Islam, was present as chief guest. Director General of CPTU Md Faruque Hossain gave clarifications and answers to queries of participants about e-GP and other public procurement issues. Dr Zafrul Islam, Lead Procurement Specialist of World Bank and Additional Chief Engineer of LGED Anwar Hossain were present as special guests. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) of Dhaka Mojibur Rahman was in the chair.
Tenderers, representatives of various government procuring agencies, media, civil society attended such workshops in every district. |
