The Facebook page of the Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) of the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) of the Ministry of Planning has been officially verified by the Facebook authorities.

The CPTU has extended its thanks to the Facebook authorities for this verification. CPTU also conveyed its thanks and gratitude to all including officials from procuring entities, tenderers and citizens for being with its Facebook page. 

The official Facebook page of CPTU (https://www.facebook.com/CPTU.gov.bd) has recently been recognized as 'Verified' by placing a blue tick () next to it.

Currently, the number of followers of the official Facebook page of CPTU is more than 63 thousand. This social media page is giving informative posts regularly on various issues related to the public procurement.

Officials from procuring entities, tenderers and citizens are making their comments, observations and opinions on public procurement on the social media page of CPTU.

This has also created opportunities for interaction between all the stakeholders of public procurement. The CPTU thinks social media platform will play a ‍supportive role in further enhancing transparency, competition and accountability in public procurement.
