Secretary, Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) Mr. Abul Mansur Md. Faizullah, ndc has underscored the need for capacity building of Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) officers and employees on Public-Private Partnership (PPP), Public Procurement, Project Management and other related issues.

The secretary was inaugurating a day-long training program organized by CPTU on 31December 2019 at the CPTU Conference Room.

“To achieve development at the desired level, enhancement of procurement skills of related officials is a must so that there was no waste of public money in the procurement process,” he said.

CPTU Director (training and coordination) Shish Haider Chowdhury made a presentation on PPP in the training program. Division Chief of IMED Mr. Shopon Kumar Gush, e-GP trainer of Dohatec Mr. Hasan Mahmud and Deputy Director of CPTU Mst. Maushumi Habib made presentations on project management, e-CMS and tender document preparation respectively.

Outgoing CPTU Director General Mr. Ali Noor was present in the inaugural session of the training program. He was promoted as the Secretary, Health Education and Family Welfare Division on 30 December 2019.

CPTU organized the training under the DIMAPP, which is financed by the World Bank.
