A five-member team of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Dhaka came to CPTU on 5 December 2019 and attended a meeting with Additional Secretary and Director General of CPTU Mr. Md. Ali Noor in the chair.

A five-member team of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Dhaka came to CPTU on 5 December 2019 and attended a meeting with Additional Secretary and Director General of CPTU Mr. Md. Ali Noor in the chair.

Officials of CPTU were present in the meeting. The topics of the meeting included debarment process of tenderers, its functionalities, international practices, e-STDs and the process for introduction of international tender in e-GP.

The ADB team asked about the process and functionalities of debarment of tenderers in public procurement. They expressed satisfaction over the debarment system as explained in the Public Procurement Rules-2008.

The ADB system of debarment, international practices also came up for discussion. On query from the ADB team members, CPTU also apprised them of e-STDs in the e-GP system. The planned introduction of international tenders in e-GP and participation of foreign tenderers were also discussed in the meeting.
