The three-week residential training on public procurement continues on the Gazaria campus of the Engineering Staff College, Bangladesh (ESCB).

The 16^th such course ended there on 9 September 2019. Three-week non-residential training course is also going on at Ramna, Dhaka campus of ESCB.

ITCILO and ESCB are managing the capacity development and professionalization under Digitizing Implementation Monitoring and Public Procurement Project (DIMAPPP) which is being implemented by CPTU with support from the World Bank.

The DIMAPPP started in July 2017 and will continue until June 2022. A total of 100 residential and 20 non-residential three-week courses for government officers on public procurement have been planned during the project period.

In total, 6060 persons will receive training on public procurement under various courses including the three-week ones. Relevant individuals from the private sector and journalists will also be given training on public procurement under the DIMAPPP.   

On 9 September 2019, the Additional Secretary and Director General of CPTU Mr. Md. Ali Noor presided over the closing ceremony of the 16^th residential three-week course on the ESCB campus at Gazaria, Munshiganj. He gave away certificates to 27 participants who took part in the 16^th course from various procuring agencies.
