Description | : | The Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) is taking steps to boost up professionalization in public procurement. As part of its efforts, so far 153 government officers have achieved MCIPS, 134 obtained master’s degree from BRAC University and 25 did post-graduation from Turin University, Italy, under the auspices of CPTU with project support from the World Bank. The CPTU is now in a process to further scale up professionalization in public procurement. At present, there are 59 national procurement trainers in the capacity building pool of CPTU. The number is also expected to be increased. In this connection, a meeting was held at CPTU with its Director General (Additional Secretary) Mr. Md Ali Noor in the chair on 1 August 2019. Officials of CPTU attended the meeting and discussed the possible ways to enhance professionalization in public procurement. |
