A four-day Training of Trainers (ToT) course for the National Trainers on Public Procurement began at the Six Seasons Hotel in Dhaka on 2 July 2019.

On behalf of the Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) of Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division, Ministry of Planning, ITCILO organized the ToT under the Digitizing Implementation Monitoring and Public Procurement Project (DIMAPPP). It will conclude on 7 July 2019.

The ITCILO has been engaged as Capacity Development & Professionalization Consultant at CPTU under DIMAPPP for implementing the CDP programme.

It is facilitating and managing the ToT course.

Mr. Md. Ali Noor, Director General (Additional Secretary) of CPTU opened the training as the Chief Guest. The DG CPTU said the objective of this ToT is to enhance skills of the trainers further and orient them with the latest techniques of providing training and the best practices of facilitation and learning.

Team Leader of ITCILO Richard Lorenz, Deputy Team Leader Wasim Jabber, Facilitator Federico Milano and Director (Training and Coordination) of CPTU Shish Haider Chowdhury spoke in the inaugural session.

The ToT has been organized for 20 national trainers. There are a total of 59 national procurement trainers in the country. ToT for the rest of the trainers will be organized later.
