INFORMATION FOR TENDERER

| Eligibility of Tenderer : |

i) General Experience: The minimum number of years of General Experience of the Internationally or Locally reputed Tenderer in construction/maintenance works of Road/bridge/flyover/river training works as prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor or management contractor shall be 5 (Five) years.
ii) Specific Experience: Minimum 3 (Three) years of specific experience as Prime Contractor/ Nominated Sub-contractor/ Management Contractor in Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of major bridge/flyover of similar nature and complexity in at least 1(one) contract completed over the period of last 15 (fifteen) years shall be required.
iii) Similar Works Experience: Satisfactory completion of similar works as Prime Contractor/ Nominated Sub-contractor/ Management Contractor in at least 1(one) contract with minimum value BDT 120 (One hundred twenty) Crore completed over the period of last 15 (fifteen) years shall be required.
iv) The required average annual turnover as a contractor shall be greater than BDT 40 (Forty) Crore of the best 3 (Three) years in the last Ten (10) years.
v) The minimum amount of liquid assets or working capital or credit facilities of the tenderer shall be minimum BDT 10 (Ten) Crore.
vi) In case of Joint Venture (JV), the Lead Partner shall sign the Tender Document and shall not authorize any other partner to sign the Tender Document/Contract Agreement. |

Engaging Operator for Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of the Bangabandhu Bridge and Associated works for 5 (Five) Years.
Bangabandhu Bridge was successfully completed in 1998 with Approach road and ancillary works. The major facilities within the Bridge are:
i) The 4.8Km long Segmental post tensioning bridge
ii) The 128m long Approach Viaduct at each end of the bridge
iii) The 3.2 Km long River Guide Bunds at each end of the bridge
iv) The 1.5 Km long Bhuapur Hard point (Guide Bund) 7 km north of the east bank
v) The 30 km long Approach roads and its structures
vi) The 7 km long East flood embankment road & 15 km long Service Road.
vii) 2 (two) Thana Complex, 2 (two) Toll Plaza
viii) 2(two) KPI Police Barrack, 2 (two) Ansar Barrack
ix) Also, Gas pipe line, Railway and National power grid line have passed on the bridge but these are excluded in this maintenance contract.
x) System including modernized and efficient traffic control, surveillance observation. |
