Relevant educational qualifications:
• B.Sc. in Engineering, preferably Civil/Mechanical or Master’s in Procurement/Supply Chain Management;
• Having advanced academic/professional qualification in procurement will be an added advantage.
General Experience:
• A minimum of 15 (Fifteen) years of general experience in Public Procurement and contract management;
Specific Experience:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in internationally advertised supply & installation/works procurements, and consulting services;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurements following World Bank’s or other multilateral development/agency or Banks’ Procurement Guidelines.

The attention of interested consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank Group’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, July 2014 (“Consultant Guidelines”), setting forth the World Bank Group’s policy on conflict of interest.
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with procedures for recruiting Individual Consultants set out in the consultant guidelines.
A copy of the Terms of Reference (ToR) of the assignment may be obtained from the address below Sunday through Thursday during 09:00 to 17:00 hours or downloaded from the BIWTA website at: www.biwta.gov.bd.
Expressions of Interest (EOI) in writing, comprising of a CV and a forwarding letter describing briefly the reasons that the applicant considers him / her -self best suited to perform the assignment, may be emailed, mailed, faxed, or delivered in person. The EOI must reach the address below by 27 August, 2025.
