Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
Throughout the 4th sector programme, GNSPU with technical and financial assistance from UNFPA Bangladesh has undertaken several activities to establish GBV service as an integral part of essential health care. It includes, among others, development of a GBV protocol and rolling out of training for health care providers on this across the country, development and distribution of customized GBV forms and registers, survivor kit boxes containing 22 items for quick on spot GBV service delivery. A high court verdict on medicolegal procedure and practices of GBV survivor has further endorsed the activities. Also, the MoHFW has issued two circulars for health care providers to better manage a survivor. Additionally, a set of pertinent indicators for reporting on GBV services have been identified and added to the national health data site DHIS 2.
Given the context above, GNSPU deems critical to undertake a study to assess the results of various interventions made by GNSPU ahead of the 5th sector programme commencing in less than a year time. It will largely focus on evaluating the knowledge, attitudes, and procedures used by healthcare professionals to assist GBV survivors.
