| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
(a) Individual Planetarium, Observatory Telescope and XD Simulation Consultant (National) (Package : SD-4): 1. To assist Project Authority to select modern Planetarium System, Observatory Telescope and Simulation Theatre by providing technical, financial and service quality related information available in international market with cooperation of International Consultant. 2. To prepare Technical Specification, Standard Tender Document, Cost Estimate for Planetarium System, Observatory Telescope and Simulation Theatre selected by Project Authority with cooperation of International Consultant. 3. To clarify different queries in various stage with probable solution and recommendations; 4. To assist Tender Evaluation Committee if needed, to prepare BoQ and Draft contract document. 5. To calculate electrical load and related information for Planetarium Equipments with cooperation of International Consultant. 6. To monitor the construction work of Inner and Outer Dome for synchronization with Planetarium System. 7. To monitor installation, testing, commissioning of Planetarium System, Observatory Telescope and Simulation Theatre and ensure the completion of process as per terms & conditions of contract and approved specifications. 8. To prepare compliance report on arrival of the supplied Planetarium Equipments, Observatory Telescope and Simulation Theatre and its accessories as per technical specifications. 9. To assist acceptance committee by preparing check list as per technical specification and BoQ with necessary recommendations. 10. To prepare As built Drawings 11. To provide local support to international consultant in possible area. 12. In case of Individual Planetarium Consultant (International) is not deployed due to unavoidable circumstances, Individual Planetarium Consultant (National) shall take over the responsibility of whole assignment. 13. Any other related works and services as per instruction of the Project Authority.
b) Individual Exhibits and IT Consultant (National) (Package : SD-5): 1. To assist Project Authority to select modern Scientific and Digital Exhibits available in international market with financial information explaining background, theoretical aspects and probable learning outcome for the visitors with cooperation of International Consultant.
2. To prepare Technical Specification, Standard Tender Document and Cost Estimate for procuring the exhibits selected by Project Authority with cooperation of International Consultant.
3. To prepare technical specifications of Computerized Automatic Ticketing and Security system with necessary hardware and software. 4. To clarify different queries in various stage with probable solution and recommendations. 5. To assist Tender Evaluation Committee if needed, to prepare BoQ and Draft contract document. 6. To prepare layout plan and select suitable location for the Exhibits. 7. To monitor installation, testing, commissioning of exhibits, computerized automatic ticketing & security system and ensure the completion of process as per terms & conditions of contract and approved specifications.
8. To prepare compliance report on arrival of the supplied Exhibits, computerized automatic ticketing & security system and their accessories as per technical specifications. 9. To assist acceptance committee by preparing check list as per technical specification and BoQ with necessary recommendation. 10. To provide local support to international consultant in possible area. 11. To prepare As built Drawings. 12. In case of Individual Exhibits Consultant (International) is not deployed due to unavoidable circumstances, Individual Exhibits Consultant (National) shall take over the responsibility of whole assignment. 13. Any other related works and services as per instruction of the project authority.
C) Individual Interior Designer Consultant (National) (Package : SD-8): 1. To prepare Interior Design for Planetarium Theatre, Simulation Theatre, Exhibits Area, Telescope Area, Auditorium, Multipurpose Hall, Conference Room, Office Building, Rest House, Open space of Planetarium Building including false ceiling, lighting and other accessories. 2. To prepare the design of state of the Art Landscaping for the compound.
3. To provide necessary Acoustic Solution for Planetarium Theatre, Simulation Theatre, Auditorium, Multipurpose Hall, Conference Room, Exhibits area and Open space of Planetarium Building.
4. To select the suitable materials needed for Interior Design, Acoustic Solution and Landscaping etc.
5. To prepare the schedule of requirement of the materials to be used in Interior Design, Acoustic Solution, Landscaping etc. 6. To prepare the specifications, cost estimates for Interior Design, Acoustic Solution, Landscape, lighting etc. 7. To monitor and supervise installation work for Interior Design, Acoustic work, Landscaping and others. 8. To prepare the compliance report of supplied Goods and Services for Interior Design, Acoustic Solution, Landscaping as per contract and specification. 9. To liaise and coordinate with Sr. Electrical and Electronics Engineer, Mechanical Engineer and other consultants regarding execution of works related with Interior Design works whenever necessary. 10. To assist receiving committee by providing findings and recommendations. 11. Any other related works and services as per instruction of the project authority. |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

(a) Individual Planetarium, Observatory Telescope and XD Simulation Consultant (National) (Package : SD-4): At least Masters Degree in Physics/Astronomy /Computer Science /related discipline or B.Sc. Engineering Degree having experience in related field.
2. At least 10 years general experience in related field.
3. At least 07 years specific experience in installation of Planetarium System, Observatory Telescope and XD Simulation Theatre. Experience in consultancy service in related field will get preference.
4. He should have experience of installation at least 01 (one) new planetarium.
5. Knowledge in astronomy and computer programming will be preferred.
6. He should have a good command in Computer literacy e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Auto-CAD.
7. Skills and proficiency in English language.
b) Individual Exhibits and IT Consultant (National) (Package : SD-5): 1. At least Masters Degree in Physics/ Astronomy/ Computer Science/ related discipline or B. Sc. Engineering Degree.
2. At least 10 years general experience in related field.
3. At least 07 years specific experience in leading role of selecting and setting of Scientific and Digital Exhibits with satisfactory operation. Experience in consultancy service in related field will get preference.
4. Experience of setting up Scientific and Digital Exhibits at least 1(one) Science City/Science Museum/ Modern Amusement Park.
5. Should have knowledge in Computer Programming and Knowledge in 4.0 IR will get preference.
6. Computer literacy in MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Power Point, Auto-CAD etc.
7. Skills and proficiency in English language.
C) Individual Interior Designer Consultant (National) (Package : SD-8): 1. At least Bachelor of Architecture Degree from any recognized University. Specialization in Acoustic Solution/ Interior Designing/ Landscaping will be preferred.
2. At least 10 years general experience in relevant field.
3. At least 07 years specific experience in Interior designing. Preference will be given for experience in Acoustic Solution and Landscaping.
4. Computer literacy in MS word, MS excel, MS power point, Auto-CAD etc.
5. Skills and proficiency in English language. |

15 (Fifteen) Months in 2 phases. 2. Individual Exhibits and IT Consultant : 15 (Fifteen) Months in 2 phases.
3. Individual Interior Designer Consultant: 12 (twelve) Months in 2 phases.
1. Interested applicants are requested to submit their EOI in accordance with the provide information as per the format given in the Standard Request for Application(SRFA) indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (complete CV in Prescribed form with other details as applicable). The applicants shall submit supporting documents in favor of their experience and qualifications from the Competent Authority and must attach passport size photograph with Application.
2. Detailed Terms of Reference (ToR) along with SRFA will be obtained from the websites www.novotheatre.gov.bd or from the office of the undersigned during the office hours. The services of the consultants will commence immediately after appointment and shall be completed as described in SRFA. |
