| Brief Description of Assignment |

Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) as one of the implementing agency among four agencies will execute the following components in phase 2.1. The output includes constructing in and around the camp areas is –
i. Construction of School cum Cyclone Shelter for affected people, 3 storied LGED Prototype -8 nos
ii. Construction of Semi-Permanent Women Led Community Centers- 2 nos
iii. Construction of Culverts on Upazila- 22.20 m
iv. Improvement of Upazila / Union Road - 12.83 km
v. Construction/Renovation of a multipurpose disaster resilient isolation center with connecting road at ICDDR,B / SARI-ITC,
For smooth implementation of the above component, LGED will recruit Design, Monitoring and Supervision (DMS) consulting firm following ADB’s procurement Policy and Procurement Regulations for ADB borrowers (2017, as amended from time to time).
The main objective of the consulting assignment is to (i) prepare design, technical specification and estimate of the civil works packages, (ii) Assist the PMO in every stage of procurement process, (iii) ensure high standards of quality assurance in execution and completion of work within stipulated time limit, (iv) comprehensive supervision of project implementation activities carried out by the contractor(s) to ensure complete compliance with the drawings, technical specifications and various stipulations in the contract documents, and (v) monitor safeguards implementation includes environment, social, gender, health and safety activities associated with the project.
LGED invites eligible National consulting firm(s) with adequate experience in project management and administration; construction supervision and quality control; and O&M planning and support. The consulting service will require total 67 person months of key and 152 person months of Non key of consultant inputs to be implemented up to the project probable completion date of June, 2023. The assignment location will be in Ukhyia & Teknaf, District: Cox’sbazar Bangladesh.
