INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The Training Specialist will carry out his/her responsibilities under direct supervision of the Project Director and in collaboration with Deputy Project Director and Senior Project Coordinator and other technical staff. a. Prepare capacity building plan and budget as per requirement of the Project and based on Project needs;
b. Review and/or develop training manuals and contents as per requirement of the Project;
c. Arrange and coordinate training, workshops & seminars or any other knowledge sharing events of PMMCU at central and field level;
d. Assist PMMCU to conduct and/or coordinate awareness campaigns for MCBP;
e. Develop/review/update awareness and SBCC materials for print, electronic and digital media;
f. Prepare different reports based on the requirement of PMMCU/WB;
g. Prepare, store and present the required documents for further steps
h. Prepare the documents for meeting purpose and assist relevant officials as required;
i. Take timely initiatives for publishing different documents required by the PMMCU;
j. Draft press note/press release for national dailies e.g. print or online media;
k. Update and share authorized information on social media platforms;
l. Take initiative for timely update of website information;
m. Maintain proper coordination with MCBP PIU, Department, Ministry, WB & other relevant departments or organizations; and
n. Perform any other tasks required by the Project Director or MoWCA management. |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |
: |
• Post graduate degree in Communication, Advocacy, Mass Media, Business Administration, Education, Sociology, Social Welfare or any other related discipline from a reputed university
• A minimum of eight (8) years of progressively professional experience in similar role.
• At least five years’ experience with government or donor funded programs.
• Proven experience and application of blended (offline & online) training cycle management, capacity building, and awareness building programs.
• Familiarity with early childhood development issues preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and Bangla. |

The Training Specialist will provide technical and operational support for managing and arranging all types of capacity building activities, developing/ reviewing/ updating Programme communication materials and their dissemination.
Scope of services:
The Training Specialist will carry out his/her responsibilities under direct supervision of the Project Director and in collaboration with Deputy Project Director and Senior Project Coordinator and other technical staff.
The Responsibilities/Accountabilities of Training Specialist includes, but not limited to:
Capacity Building:
a. Prepare capacity building plan and budget as per requirement of the Project and based on Project needs;
b. Review and/or develop training manuals and contents as per requirement of the Project;
c. Arrange and coordinate training, workshops & seminars or any other knowledge sharing events of PMMCU at central and field level;
Programme awareness and SBCC:
d. Assist PMMCU to conduct and/or coordinate awareness campaigns for MCBP;
e. Develop/review/update awareness and SBCC materials for print, electronic and digital media;
Documentation:
f. Prepare different reports based on the requirement of PMMCU/WB;

Duration of Contract and Duty Station
• For period January 2026 to June 2028. Depending on the need of the client and satisfactory performance of the consultant, the contract period may be extended through mutual agreement.
• Duty Station: Head office located at Ministry of Women and Children Affairs at Dhaka; however, the consultant needs to do field visits within Bangladesh is permitted by the Government, and the consultant will discuss and agree on a mutually acceptable working arrangement for the consultant to work remotely from his/her home location. |
